Volunteer Opportunities

Classroom Volunteer: Working under the direction of the teacher, you will assist with meals, snacks and activities. Classroom activities are quite varied and can include reading to the children, helping with art projects, joining the class on the playground or in the playroom, participating in morning circle time, singing songs, and a myriad of other fun things! We ask that you plan to make at least a two-hour commitment each time you volunteer to avoid disrupting the childrens' routine. We need classroom volunteers year-round, from 7:00 a.m. til 6:00 p.m.

Special Event Volunteer: We can always use your help at our fundraising events!

  • SH-Boom Dance: If you enjoy the music of the 50's and 60's, you might consider volunteering at our SH-Boom Dance held each February. We can use your help with set-up before the dance or clean up afterward; serve food and beverages, etc. Watch the website for the exact date.

  • Golf Tournament: Another fun event is our Golf Tournament, held each year at Bogey Hills Country Club in St. Charles. You can serve as a spotter at one of the prize holes, help at our charity auction, or other fun duties! The tournament is held in May, watch the website for the exact date.

  • There may be other fundraising event volunteer opportunities posted on the website throughout the year.

Office Assistant: As an Office Assistant you will help administrative staff with a variety of tasks such as filing and shredding.

Age Requirement: Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.
