Mission
Good Shepherd School for Children is dedicated to providing quality inclusive education for children with special needs and typically developing children from ages six weeks to six years. Exceptional learning and growth experiences are supplemented by therapeutic services as needed, up to age eighteen.
We Believe
- Children learn from everyone around them. Our school provides an inclusive environment to help children accept and learn from those who have similar and differing abilities.
- Each child is different, having his or her own unique strengths and limitations. Our program is individually guided with a specific learning plan defined for each child.
- Early intervention is critical for children who may be experiencing developmental delays. Our school provides therapeutic support, on site and in the community, in the areas of speech/language, physical, occupational, and developmental therapies.
- In partnering with parents to create a positive learning experience
- In keeping our staff members abreast of current trends, issues and changes in early childhood education, therapy and care
- In constantly seeking and implementing new strategies to enhance our program and services
- In providing financial assistance to families with limited incomes
- In operating a financially sound and fiscally responsible school.
