Each year, Good Shepherd School for Children appeals to its parents, alumni, board members, grandparents, and friends for support of the Annual Giving Campaign. These gifts constitute the most important source of unrestricted funds available to the school to meet operating expenses. The undesignated nature of the Annual Giving Campaign provides the school with flexibility to meet the areas of highest institutional need, such as competitive faculty salaries, technology, and maintenance of facilities and grounds. While income from tuition covers the basics of a Good Shepherd School for Children education, gifts to the Annual Giving Campaign enable the school to truly create a unique and powerful environment. How to make a gift to the Annual Giving Campaign Cash Checks should be made payable to Good Shepherd School for Children and sent directly to Annual Giving Campaign Good Shepherd School for Children 1170 Timber Run Drive St. Louis, MO 63146 Credit Cards Making a gift with your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. Your gift will be processed the day you give us your credit card number and expiration date. You may also have the school automatically charge your credit card each month. As an example, a gift of $10 charged to your credit card each month can result in an annual gift of $120 to the school. Securities There can be significant tax benefits to donating stock to the school. An easy way to do this is by having your broker transfer the securities directly into the Good Shepherd School for Children's account. Please have your broker contact Barb Behlmann, Director of Development at 314.469.0606, for the DTC number and account information. The school will then send you a receipt giving you the value of the stock on the day of transfer. Corporate Matching Gifts Many corporations offer matching gift programs for employees, retirees, and their families. Most programs match on a dollar-per-dollar basis, allowing you to double your gift. Simply contact your Human Resources professional and secure a matching gift form, which should be sent to the school with your gift. We will then fill out our portion of the form and return it to your employer. |
