2026 - 2027 School Calendar
In 2027, Good Shepherd School for Children will ring in our 60th Anniversary. Good Shepherd was established in 1967 as a grassroots effort by parents, giving children with special needs thier educational start at a time when few others would As attitudes about children with special nedds evolved, Good Shepherd became one of the first inclusive early centers in the metropolitan area. In 1997, Good Shepherd moved into its current home - a 15,000 square foot facility built for our education and therapy services.
We are honored across these last sixty years through our inclusive approach and special mission, to have positively impacted thousands of lives. To the countless staff, board, donors, supporters, partners, children, and families who have made this possible, we thanks you. But now, we find ourselves at a crossroads: Costs have skyrocketed, including tripled insurance rates and six-figure facility repairs, and if we are to sustain our mission and our work into the future, we need your help. There can be no greater way to honor our past, than to come together in support of our future.

Events at Good Shepherd School for Children
GivingTuesday is Dec. 2, 2025, and is a global generosity movement created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate “radical generosity.”
Good Shepherd is proud to be one of the last remaining early childhood centers in the region dedicated to specialized, inclusive care. But like many nonprofits our costs have skyrocketed and we rely upon the generosity of people like you to fill these gaps and help us sustain our transformative mission. Days such as GivingTuesday are the perfect opportunity to make a gift.
Thank you for your support—it truly takes a village!
Give STL Day
It’s GiveStlDay! An online day of giving powered by the St. Louis Community Foundation, which has seen $30 million raised for nonprofits since 2014! We are grateful for the ongoing support from our Good Shepherd families, board, friends, and all other supporters, and to anyone who would like to donate today, and/or spread the word, we would be profoundly obliged!
Thank you for all your generous support—we could not be here without you!
