2025 ANNUAL APPEAL

Good Shepherd School for Children  is the only childcare center in the area with the mission of serving children with special needs in an inclusive setting, but we are confronting profound challenges as we enter the new year: costs have skyrocketed, including nearly tripled insurance rates, and an antiquated HVAC system requiring replacement at a cost well into six-figures—maintaining proper heating and cooling is of course essential, not only for licensing standards but particularly given some of the special needs of many of our children. We continue to underwrite the many thousands of dollars per year required to  provide our specialized services without passing exorbitant extra costs on to families—but cannot do so without your support!

Countless studies confirm: EVERYONE benefits from inclusion. Year after year, GSS families report high levels of kindergarten readiness, and the interventions we provide now continue to set children up for greater success in school and life in the future. Earlier interventions often mitigate future remediation costs.
